VOLKSWAGEN GOLF RALLYE G60, MJ Interior, Jabbasport Engine, Huge spec!!
I dont really know where to start with this, never thought id see the day i would be putting this up for sale!
Ive owned it since January 2007 and since then have done everything this car has needed.
Alot of it i have done myself with the help of some good mates, with the bigger jobs left to the pro's!
Bodywork:
Full respray in the summer of 2009, including new sills fabricated, scuttle section and repair under rear window.
Any rust cut out and replaced with fresh metal.
I also bought all new door and window seals to go with the fresh paint and various other bits like stonechip guards and gaskets.
Body work all original no bits chopped off or added!
Audi S3 xenons have also been fitted into the standard projectors.
Interior:
My favourite part of the car! Bought from Mr Simms shortly after he had it re-trimmed.
Electric Recaro's (loom in the car just not connected), rear seats trimmed to match and all door cars rear parcel shelf and supports.
Boost guage in a vent pod and a nakamichi head unit for the tunes.
Again no holes on trims or the dashboard, left it standard.
Engine:
Fully re-built by Jabbasport in the summer of 2007.
Work included 1.9L pistons, ported and polished head and a performance camshaft.
I also had fitted at the same time a 4 branch manifold, this mates upto a decat pipe and full supersprint exhaust.
Solid front engine mount with new standard rear and gearbox mount.
Last year i had a replacement charger fitted at Jabbasport, this is built to stage 4 spec with a 68mm pulley.
New k&n air filter and all this work is still under warranty with Jabbasport.
I have done various oil changes including gearbox, transfer box and rear diff.
All basic service items including plugs, leads, dizzy cap and rotor arm all done very little mileage.
Also has mocal oil cooler fitted and deleted the standard water to oil cooler.
Engine runs sweet as a nut, uses no oil or water and pulls well through all the gears.
Gearbox engages nicely through all the gears with no clunks and the 4WD system works perfectly.
Brakes/Suspension:
Tarox 6 pot front calipers and 300mm discs, amazing stopping power and well worth the money.
ABS still works, light illuminates and goes out after a few seconds.
KW V1 coilovers.
Wheels:
Compomotive TH2 wheels, 4x100 ET35
Falken 452 tyres that have done less than 1000 miles.
Rear wheels need a re-furb.
Ive probably missed a few bits off, this hasnt been a money no object build, its been years of scrimping and saving and putting alot of time and effort in.
I have receipts for all the work done and for various bits i have bought. Brian at Jabbasport knows the car well.
I wont split the car, it goes as one. I havent got the heart to break it. Its bad enough writing this advert but i cant keep it forever.
I dont use it enough and i have a company car, i just want it to go to a proper home and given the love to it that i have.
Any questions please call me on 07886 999854
And finally the price, this has been difficult to decide on. It owes me over double what im asking and Adrian Flux agreed the value at £9000.
(im still waiting on a revised value this year, i asked for £10k due to the interior)
I have set what i see as a fair price for the car.
It is advertised elsewhere so i will end if my price is offered.
Ideal time to buy, ready for the shows over the next few months!
This really is a complete car that needs nothing spending on it, just drive it and enjoy it.
Its a fantastic car that handles well and will embarress a few modern cars!
The noise is incredible and unique and the looks and nice comments i have had really make it all worthwhile.
Only bad points are the roof strips aren't perfectly straight at the rear of the car and the temperature gauge is intermittent, i just watch the oil temp on the MFA.
Thanks for looking,
James
