to be a hard top and was chopped by the previous owners by a company on the Isle Of White. I bought the car four years ago as a rust bucket to rebuild for my mother in-law, she has now moved away and has no where to keep it. So I have now got it in my garage where it has been stripped down painted and had a new interior and carpet. You will see from the photo`s that the front seats still have the plastic bags on them to keep them nice for the lucky new owner The car has a parcel shelf with Kenwood speakers, and a AM/FM/MP3 stereo. (will take SD card or USB stick) It has had the screen washer upgraded to a pump rather than using air from the spare wheel. The engine is a 1600 running on a 1300 gear box, so it goes quite well, the engine has also recently been overhauled and still needs running in. It has four good tyres, plus a good spare. Bad Bits, The roof is present and fits, but it really needs replacing if you plan to use the car in wet weather as it has a tare in it, however if you plan to only use it in fine weather then you can use a car cover to store it outside, but ideally it would be kept in a garage. A new roof is easily available from Paris Beetles, and I will give the details to the new owner. cost is around £350. This is a great fun car, and if I didn`t have a beach buggy as well, then I would keep it. viewing is possible most days, contact me through ebay to arrange. THE ENGINE IS AS SWEET AS AND STARTS FIRST TIME ON THE KEY, THE CARB NEEDS A SETUP ETC AS CHANGED FROM A PICT 30 TO A PICT 34 CARB AS THE OLD ONE WAS A BIT NAFF. I PAINTED THE CAR MYSELF AND WHILE NOT BEING A PROFESSIONAL SPRAYER I HAVE USED PROFESSIONAL PAINTS, THERE IS A COUPLE RUNS ON THE LAQUER THAT I AM WAITING TO HARDEN PROPERLY IN ORDER TO SORT THEM OUT. THE HARD TOP HAS BEEN MODIFIED WITH A VISOR TO FIT THE CHOPPED SCREEN AND STILL NEEDS A BIT OF FINISHING AND BACK WINDOW.. THE INTERIOR TO BE PUT TO YOUR TASTE BUT I DO HAVE THE DOOR CARDS AND THE PORCHE 944 SEATS ARE NOW INSTALLED. INDICATORS FLASH FAST BUT A CORRECT FLASHER UNIT WILL SOLVE THAT (I`M TOLD). WINDSCREEN WIPERS, I HAVE THE CORRECT SIZE BLADES, THE WIPER ARMS NEED CHOPPING DOWN. THE ENGINE LID IS STAND OFF AND COULD DO WITH EXTENDING A BIT MORE AS ACCESS IS NOT THAT GOOD TO THE ENGINE OR IF YOU CHANGE THE FILTER FOR A SMALL ONE THE LID WOULD SIT FLUSH. THE BRAKES MAY NEED BLEEDING AS THEY ARE A BIT SOFT BUT THAT MAY JUST HOW THEY ARE BEING DRUMS.
