It has VDO gauges although the turbo boost doesnt work and i cant figure out why :P Not sure about the mileage i think it is around 140k but these engines do run forever. Bad bits are... and the new owner will be very pleased as it looks great and drives great. I have had it regularly serviced and it didn`t let me down for the year and two months I`ve owned it (I`ve done over 25000 miles in it). now showing 124,250 aprox. It`s running Mk4 Golf front coilovers which are adjustable up and down. Rear is running BMW E30 springs with ajustable spigots and Koni adjustable shocks. There is loads of room to drop this much lower if you want by simply turning a threaded shim on each spring / shock (tool comes with the vehicle). It comes with a Truckman top (see pictures) which has some scratches and markes and also has Skoda written on the side (obviously from a Skoda at somepoint). The Skoda stickers will come off with a hairdryer. Also comes with a loadliner which has been cut around a bit, but still 100% useable and looks fine. It`s had loads of new parts: Brand new front pads and discs 4 x Brand new tyres New rear exhaust section New battery New front suspension top mounts Outer CV boots New front coilovers New Glow plugs G60 Steel wheels The bad: Alternator pully squeeks when it`s cold. It`s done this since I`ve had it and never worried me. Stops as soon as it warms up. Gear linkage is a bit sloppy, selects all gears with no trouble. Small amount of steering vibration at around 65 -70 Mph. I will have this fixed before it sells. Driver`s and passenger`s door locks have been forced at some point, still work, but may also work with a screw driver. Ashtray has had the back snapped off of it. It has had a re-spray at some point, at least two or three years ago and was carried out to a high standard. I wouldn`t have known unless the previous owner had told me. Paintwork is in great condition. There are a few tiny blemishes, a couple of rust bubbles (shown in the pictures) and a couple of tiny dents. The tailgate also has a couple of dents. None of this distracts from the overall smart apperance of the pickup, just listing everything I can think of. Everything works as it should lights, stereo, heater, auxillary fan etc. etc. If it sells for the "buy it now" I will put a new MOT on it. Any inspection welcome. Usual ebay rules apply. Still registered as a 1600 diesal on log book but insured as a 1900 and same tax band as a 1600. Front coilovers and flipped rear axle with slight camber on the rear wheels . 15" wheels with 175/50 15 tyres giving it that stretched tyre look, rolled front arches so it will go lower!! Polished Stainless steel mirrors so they will never rot like the cheap one`s you can buy. L.E.D side indicators which are in the quater light windows by the mirrors because the original one`s on the wings were removed and smoothed over. Chrome front bumper and side exit exhaust pipe which makes it sound quite throaty especially when the turbo cuts in. Gate bar style rear tailgate which is removeable and spacesaver spare wheel which lays in the back. Sports seats from a Seat Cupra. Original rear plastic window. Bonnet and wheels have been painted in bright orange, bonnet has started to fade a little but I still have the original gloss black bonnet in storage if interested. A real definate head turner and goes and sounds great.  | MK1 VW Caddy .Hullo all.After having this for a few months I have realised two things. A. I love it. B. It`s totally impractical for me, and with my mk1 scirocco on...>
it`s way soon I can`t really have two projects on the go! So reluctantly I am selling my caddy.I have had new wheel bearings all round, CV joints and new discs and pads on it. I replaced the sump after I managed to crack it on some raised metalwork on the road, d`oh.Flipped rear axle, slightly off by about an inch, have to mention it because it is noticeable when you properly look at it. A good spacer would soon sort this visually. It has non-seized coilovers on the front.It`s a 1.6 Diesel on 117k miles. Not much history unfortunately but have the receipts for the work that I`ve had done on it, (basically rebuilt majority the front end).Doesn`t burn oil or drink water, however there is a slight oil leak from somewhere, but I haven`t discovered it yet. Engine could probably do with a tune / good clean up. I don`t drive it much, just around the city and to and from band practice, which is where practicality comes in, as my house mate isn`t a massive fan of driving around with his expensive guitars in the back ready for the taking at traffic lights!Does have trouble starting when it`s freezing, but it does always start, eventually haha. Slightly tappety from cold but fine once warmed up.Could do with a new rocker cover breather hose as it seems to leak a bit.MOT runs out March, tax has 5 months on it. Last MOT had no advisories.The bed is straight as apart from where it`s cut to have the exhaust coming through, oh yes, it has a fricking stack exhaust which is awesome.Body work is sold as, but the passenger door has a bit of rust coming through, but doors are very easy to come by for these.I`m not a fan of the paint work, I was going to spray it in matte black if I was keeping it, so I have all the paint ready to do so, and will be included in the sale if you want it.Open to offers.
