It certainly took me months of searching to find one in such great condition With show season on it`s way, this car will certainly attract a lot of attention and get heads turning This vehicle is entirely genuine and if you’d like to bring a VW specialist to see it, or take it to a VW centre, that’s fine The VW specialist who serviced her was highly impressed - Tight as a drum with no rattle or rolls The only modifications she has are the single headlight conversion, de-badged front grill, M3 style tail lights, the very expensive steel break hose/lines and the amazing sounding exhaust system (manifold to backbox) which sounds like a gurgling V8 when sat idle and a roaring beast when you put your foot down!!! She drives and handles like a dream She is also very quick, even by modern standards, and loves to rev to 7,000rpm!!! I could talk about how great this car is all day but just look at the pictures, then look at every other Mk1 or Mk1 Cabriolet and this car is an easy first choice Nothing beats that roof down feeling on a sunny day, especially with the amazing sounding exhaust note that you hear as you put your foot down!!! (Slightly) Bad Points - But remember that the car is 23 years old so it`s not going to be in factory / showroom condition!!! Although in great condition, the body work is slightly different shades of white (only if you look closely) in certain places due to areas where rust has been repaired and resprayed You can only notice when looking up very close and it has never bothered me nor have I felt it worth it to fork out a £grand for a respray The Driver`s seat is stained and has a couple of stiched up tears... Again this has never bothered me hence why I have never had repaired The windscreen squirter doesn`t work when you pull the stalk towards you to clean the windscreen.
