The block has been overbored and uses a hardened steel ABA crank to increase displacement to 2.0L. The pistons are forged items as are the rods, the whole bottom end has been balanced. A Schrick baffled sump keeps the oil in the right place during cornering. | The head has lager inlet and exhaust valves and has been ported. Bosch red top injectors have also been fitted to ensure the fuel can flow properly. The cam is a Eurospec 276 profile and is timed using a vernier pulley. | The G-Lader has been ported to Jabba stage 4 and has a 68mm pulley fitted, it has covered about 10K miles. since a full rebuild(Only just run in and fully mapped/setup). | I have owned and cherished this car for the last 8-9years and the turbo conversion was started in 2006 by Dubsport. It started off with a HGP turbo conversion using a head spacer to lower the compression and uprating the conrods etc to strengthen the engine to accept the turbo. A head overhaul inc porting and polishing was also carried out to match the bottom end. At this stage the gearbox was also reconditioned with uprated internals and a quaife LSD. While at dubsport the brakes were also upgraded to a 294mm 4pot brembo brake setup with braided hoses. | After aprox 2000miles of running this setup i decided that i wanted to improve on the conversion to run more power with reliability which is when i decided to take my corrado to MRC in banbury after recommendation. They restripped the engine and started again. A new forge low comp bottom end was then sourced from america. As the engine was being rebuilt i decided to have the following carried out at great expense: | * Head re-worked and balanced with new valve stem seals | * Custom Rs Fabrications exhaust system with mapping sensors (£1000) | * Rs Fabrications front mount intercooler | * Oil cooler kit | * Helix clutch kit | * Uprated fuel pump kit | * Low temp thermostat | * Vibra technics front engine mount | * Egt sensor in manifold | * BMC carbon airfilter | * Samco hoses and hard pipe kit | Following this i decided to uprate the following: | * New FK Silverline X fully adjustable coilover kit with new topmounts and bearings alround | * Strip and shot blast rear axle/repowder coat black and rebuilt with new poly bushes | * New copper brake lines | * New abs sensors | * New brake disc back plates alround | * New rear discs, pads and calipers | * New wheel bearings alround | * New front wishbones | * New front anti roll bar and bushes | * New track rod ends | * New anti roll bar links | On top of all this i have also added a full custom half leather and alcantara interior fabricated by MJ Interiors, vdo boost gauge, momo steering wheel with porsche horn, pioneer stereo with infinity speakers and much more. | The overall bodywork is of excellent condition with a minor blemish to the o/s/f wing. | My corrado is currently running a very safe 350bhp at low boost due to damp conditions.  | 1990 VOLKSWAGEN CORRADO 16V GREEN .Hello, Bought this Corrado as a project but ive just got a new job which means more hours away from home and a company car so unfortunately im not going...>
to have time to complete it! The Pros:NO RUST! The paint and bodywork is excellent, no bubbles and no rust so a very solid base too work with. of boy There is a full stainless steel exhaust system going from the downpipe to the back box, im unsure of the make but it makes a really nice subtle sound, not chavy or boy racer ish at all.It comes with coilover suspension which is fully height adjustable, again unsure of make and provides a firm ride (im not a massive fan of coilovers due to the stiffness they provide and the ride is very firm indeed) Engine runs very nicely, during the short period of time i have owned the car ive cleaned out the throttle body and cleaned all the vaccum hoses, lubed everything up, just basically making sure everything runs as well as it possibly can and i seem to have done a good job as the engine really does run well. Its reliable starts when i ask it too and theres no knocks, bangs etc its also only got 136,000 on the clock which for a corrado these days seems to be pretty good! Electrics all work, spoiler works both automatically and manually and the car comes with a sony head unit and some 6x9`s which again arent too over the top but provide a bit of bass boost and a bit more volume. 4 good toyo tyres, and vw alloy wheels no kerbing, there all straight and as they should be. The brakes are very good, drilled and grooved discs which provide more than enough stopping power. The cons:The ride really is firm from the coilovers which as ive mentioned im not a massive fan of. The interior is a bit scruffy, nothing too bad (apart from a small patch on the drivers seat) but the seats could do with a hoover or a shampoo. Could do with some new top mounts in the near future (these arent expensive or hard to fit, ive just been too busy trying to get this new job!) Power steering feels a little heavy, not sure if the pump needs bleeding or just needs to be topped up, i just havent had the time to do any of these little jobs. In summary:Great solid base to build up from, the car runs and pulls very well, all works as it should just needs someone to pay it a little more attention than i can give it. This could make a very impressive car indeed. I have been very honest with the description and the price reflects the little bits and bobs i have mentioned. Also cash on collection, sold as seen although dont take that too mean anything negative, mot`ed until October but tax runs out at the end of the month im afraid. Between christmas and new year despite the minimal damage the insurance company wrote it off without physically viewing the car (all done over the phone). It is now classed as CAT C. The car drives the same as it did pre accident and ive been told a decent spray man can easily sort the wing and damage to the bumper. | Here is the advert description as it was pre accident, ive also included pictures of the damage but as you can see some of the photos of the car are pre accident. | This is my Volkswagon Corrado VR6. The car is in excellent condition for its age, inside and out. Though on the photos it looks a little blue, it is a stunning metallic green. | The previous owner fitted the current exhaust and although its not a Corrado original, I couldn`t bring myself to replace it as it makes the car sound awesome. The previous owner also fitted Wolfrace Alloys, lowered the suspension and placed a racing air filter on the engine. It flew through its MOT which expires in September 2012, and still has road TAX until the end of March. I`ve recently had two new front tyres fitted, a new power-steering pump fitted, a new fan-sensor, new windscreen-wipers and front suspension-arm bushes. | The car comes with a set of rear suspension bushes that I bought by accident. | All the electrics still work like new; windows, wing mirrors, sun-roof and the rear spoiler which is rare for most of these vehicles today. The rear spoiler pops-up automatically at 45mph or can be operated via switch on the dashboard. | The car handles like it`s on rails and packs plenty of power. The Corrado is without a doubt my most favourite car I`ve owned and is by far the most fun to drive. | I`ve never had any trouble with the engine, I`m putting that down to it being a VW, it starts every time and for a 2.9ltr engine it`s pretty economical. 136,000 miles long mot, currently SORN. 6 former keepers. Original service books and owners manual present, service books show a good traceable history.Details.Bodywork, finished in the original Metallic Storm green, with some marks stone chips from use. Front O/S wing has some paint fade on the top edge, other wise condition as expected. All panels look to be original with no evidence of accident damage. Factory fitted sunroof is working both tilt and fully open. Headlights and tail lights are free from damage. Original Corrado, storm and Vr6 badges are fitted in the original location. works i have just had a engine rebuild, with the engine being rebored the pistons cost £800 alone, i have spent thousands of pounds on it but unfortunately the garage who undertook the rebuild made a right cock up with the oil pump and now it needs new shells and bearings and the cam would probably want regrinding and polishing, i would suggest a new or recon bottom end bodywork is good only rust is on both front wings but rest of body fine this would be a lovely car for the right person who would be willing to spend a little time and money which i havent got at the moment due to commitments,the car is mot till august and the tax run out in dec pls remember the car is bought as seen thank you for your time. I love the car and will be sad to see it go but its a shame to waste it Its had a full respray in the new scirroco viper green colour, pictures of which can be seen on http://www.simonsaccidentrepaircentre.co.uk/. The paint work is immaculate as the owner of the coach works was the previous owner of the car, the car has a 100% clean VIC check and also has a been fitted with Mini Cooper S Wheels which really complement the look of the car. There are no faults on the car and has perfect oil pressure and cooling, it could benifit from a new bonnet cable its broken but ill try and replace it before sale.The only thing that lets the car down is the interior is a bit shabby (see pics) but with a small amount of cash this could be transformed into a stunning show winning car. The spoiler has been disconnected and the sunroof but it can still be opened manually. If recently replace the fan switch and given the interior a clean up and it looks bit better to be fare it isnt too bad and i was happy running it the way it was.Its mot`d until march 2012 and taxed till April. This is a stunning example and turns heads everywhere it goes. The car has clearly had a few quid spent on it. It can be driven anywhere and is ready to go at any point. Would just like to add that this engine was taken from an 82000 mile golf vr6 with clocks to prove.I put about 6k on it But had to get corrado vr6 clocks for the conversion,this car drives very well indeed and sounds awesome.The car is located in East Ayrshire, Scotland. last time, so here it is again with more pics.It was a G plate 16v.I bought it last year off eBay as an unfinished project. The previous owner had removed the old 16v engine and replaced it with a 180BHP SEAT LEON 1.8 20v turbo engine.He had unsucessfully tried to get the car running on Megasquirt engine management then had to give up on the project due to a child arriving in the faimly. The engine bay wiring was a complete mess so I removed it all along with the Megasquirt. I have since bought a Mk4 Golf GTI ECU, clocks, key and engine loom, which I have had professionally converted to plug and play. It has all the correct Corrado connectors on the end and will plug straight into the fuseboard. The clocks and key all match the ECU but I have had the immobiliser defeated anyway should you wish to retain the Corrado clocks. The engine already had a cable throttle body on it, I`m not sure if the coil packs are the correct type for the ECU or if there`s a MAF in there either. The ecu is off a 150BHP model so would benefit from a remap to get the monst out of the bigger turbo`d engine.I cannot vouch in any way for the standard of the work done on the car, I haven`t checked it over or touched it other than to remove the engine wiring loom. The wiring is basically done and easy to fit and the boost and coolant system needs piping up (some hoses included). The engine itself is physically in the engine bay, with the gearbox on and shafts connected (new clutch I was told). The car also has a huge alloy front mounted intercooler fitted. I would recommend the buyer to re-check absolutely everything themselves and would only recommend a competant mechanic carry out the rest of the conversion as well as checking over everything that`s been changed.The 15" alloys are included also abd have Continental tyres.. Still on the 256mm brakes, but I do have some 280`s I can sell you. Car obviously not taxed or MOT`d.It also appears to have a stainless exhaust, no down pipe, I haven`t checked how much of the sytem is there.Coilover suspension of unknown brand is fitted and included. Well greased and looks fairly new.The interior is the standard grey cloth, and someone has fitted some uttelry hideous white vinyl covers to them so it loks like leather. The drivers seat cover is damaged where I ripped it off. The original grey cloth is still present underneath and the bit I`ve seen looks in good condition. The interior is also full of boxes of other spare parts which may or may not be needed to finished the car off.Bodywork wise, unfortunately it`s a non sunroof shell but someone has fitted a glass aftermarket sunroof. There is slight rusting on the passenger door bottom and around the fuel filler cap abd a few minor scabs on the arches. The grille is missing. Also unfortunate is that my unit got burgled last year and the keys to the car were taken in the raid. I had to move the car to safety quickly so had no choice but to smash the steering lock off so I could steer the car. This had damaged the column and clock surround, possibly the column too. I have other Corrado`s so can supply you with another lock set (by negotiation as it`s still attached to my car)The car is currently strapped to my trailer. For that reason I will offer to deliver the car. For every £1 over £1000 that is how far I am prepared to deliver the car. For instance, if it goes for £1100, I will deliver it 100 miles, if it goes for £1200 I will deliver it 200 miles, and so on and so forth upto a maximum of 250 miles (from YO41). I may deliver further, but you will have to conact me before bidding to confirm aprice for this service. Any less than £1000 and buyer to collect or arrange a transporter to collect. If you want me to deliver I require full payment in advance.Shame to see it go as it would make a good road or track car, I just don`t have the time or space any more.I`m not interested in any swaps or finishing the car off. After market door pods have also been fitted WHEELS/BRAKES Standard Corrado speedlines all fitted with fairly new tyres no curb marks on the wheels but a few age related marks, the brakes are all standard and in fairly good conditionELECTRICSThe most hated part of all VW Corrados, You`ll be happy to know the spoiler works perfectly and so do the wing mirrors and the windows nice and swiftly. The car has had Koni shocks fitted with Eibach springs which has stiffened up the suspension without compromising ride comfort, this has lowed the car 40mm from the standard height. It was set up correctly by a mechanic and laser aligned. The brakes are OMP pads and discs vented and grooved. The car has got ABS which functions correctly. New sensors and flex hoses have been recently fitted. | Its got a full cat back Milltek stainless exhaust which makes a nice sound and not in anyway over the top! I replaced the lambda probe a few years back. The car has got a full set of G60 BBS alloy wheels complete with all the caps (these are hard to find nowdays) | The engine is the standard 2.0 16v 9A unit that produces around 140 bhp it has been seviced anually with the cambelt replaced at 90,000 miles. The clutch and gearbox are standard and working fine with no leaks. Its had a new alternator fitted last year and I bought a new battery last week. | The interior is the standard Karmann black cloth wich has recaro style front seats this has some wear but not excessive for a 1995 car this can be seen the the pictures. The condition of the interior is very good with one burn mark on the righthand rear seat. The car has an Alpine CDA-9815 RB cd player that plays mp3`s etc. Car has electric mirrors, windows and sunroof which are all working and has power steering with rake adjustment. It also has a Momo gear knob which i may remove. | The car has had a Clifford total closure Alarm with remote locking. I`ve recently had the immobiliser ECU replaced at great cost. The rear windows have been professionally tinted this was done prior to my ownership and is legal for road use. The bodywork is in very good condition and has no visible corrosion and dents. It had a respray down the sides prior to my ownership and its a bit flakey in places but still looks good. | The car passed its MOT in October last year fist time with no advisories, it runs out on 09/10/12 and I`ve put on 6 months tax. I`ve owned the car for 7 years and has never let me down, it was dry stored the last 2 years and I don`t use it enough to warrant keeping it as I drive a van. I have the V5C in my name. | I feel I`ve described the car as best I can but, viewing is recomended and I can take it out for test drives. service books and owners manual present, service books show a good traceable history.Details.Bodywork, finished in the original Metallic Storm green, with some marks stone chips from use. Front O/S wing has some paint fade on the top edge, other wise condition as expected. All panels look to be original with no evidence of accident damage. Factory fitted sunroof is working both tilt and fully open. Headlights and tail lights are free from damage. Original Corrado, storm and Vr6 badges are fitted in the original location. Door handles working, The car has been wax oiled regularly.Engine is the original 2.9 VR6 standard with no modifications, recent ( in the last 6 months) oil service, spark plugs, coil pack, Magnecor H/T leads, quantum battery, Starts and runs fine, with no unexpected noises misfires etc. Gearbox and clutch are in good working order recent new outer CV boots fitted. New Jetex stainless steel cat back exhaust fitted 2 months ago.Running gear, the car had been fitted with a new set of Weitec coilover suspension less than 1500 miles ago, in addition other items include , new rear discs and pads, rear wheel bearings, front discs and pads, front wheel bearings, outer CV boots, Front wishbone bushes replaces with Powerflex. Original BBS Corrado Storm wheels are in good order some corrosion and kerb marks, fitted with good matching pairs of tyres.Interior, original factory cream leather trim is fitted, with some wear on the drivers seat. The heater controls are stiff to turn when changing from defrost/screen to foot well. The carpets are the cream original and are in good clean condition, supplied with VW rubber over mats. Instruments work correctly as does the trip comp. The ABS light sometimes stays on, ABS when tested works fine. Original jack, tool kit is present.
