An 18 year old VW golf, high mileage but still going strong as they all do. This car may not be the prettiest but it`ll keep going and to be honest, for an 18 year old car its not all that bad! Its only showing 3 previous owners - that`s good for an 18 year old car! There`s bill`s and receipts with the car to show its been mechanically looked after and everything still works! As stated above the V5 is lost and therefore you need to apply for a new one by post or pop into your local office. rest assured the car is HPi clear and will surely do someone a good turn - a cheap VW diesel. The engine alone is worth more than the starting bid! Traded in by a gentleman from Broadstairs, Kent who drove it 16 miles to us. We have driven it around the block a few times and haven`t noticed anything to worry about. Nothing really to report - its an 18 year old runner! Engine, Clutch, Gearbox, Brakes, Steering All Working. The car doesn`t have a stereo. Tax is up at the end of the month but still a couple months MOT - it`ll do someone a turn - knowing VW`s it`ll probably pass the next one! engine parts.It is in no way modified, tampered with or altered (apart from the radio) as I`ve tried to keep it as original as the day it was bought.It even has the original Gilders front number plate. Sadly someone decided to take the rear one as a beer trophy.I`m selling only to get a larger car for my musical equipment, and I`m extremely sad to see this piece of 80`s history go.Three owners (including me) from new and I knew the last owner personally. She looked after this Golf from around 1990. The milage is genuine at 82018 miles and I bought the car at 58k having done around 5k a year from new. I have all the paper work from new in a massive folder which will be passed on to the buyer. The BBS alloys where fitted when the car rolled off the showroom floor.There are a few rust bubbles starting on the wheel arches and one or two other places, nothing at all that can`t be sorted easily by someone who knows how to restore paintwork etc. In general it`s in extremely good nick for a car that has been used for 25 years. The interior is pretty much as new. Lovely denim trim and seats, been the source of many 80`s cheesy comments. the car is very clean condition for its age and mileage with only light bodily damage on the paaseger side, none of which is very serious but should be noted all the same. The interior is very good indeed. I purchased this as I needed a reliablerun around whilst I sorted out my personal circumstances and it has proved to be a great car.The interior is immaculate and could be passed for a new vehicle, the exterior is in great condition with only a small piece oftrim missing and a little row of dints on the passenger side wheel arch ( see photo).Next year this car can be Insured on a Classic Motor policy, which is much cheaper than standard Insurance. The only advisory on the last MOT was that there is a crack on the front number plate !! Sums the vehicle up really. It does have central locking, electric sunroof, power steering, air bags, and a Sony face off Stereo ( manufacture fitted).and VW rubber mats.
