I bought it, it had just cracked the headlamps (which have been replaced by brand new ones) and bent the front of the bonnet and cracked the bumper, I managed to get a bonnet, bumper and grill in the same colour which have been fitted correctly, as have two new rear springs, (totally unrelated to the accident, but needed changing anyway) It has since been checked by VOSA and they have issued us with a Vehicle check pass certificate to say that it is roadworthy and it is still the same vehicle that came out of the factory. I heard from the previous owner, that the accident was in the snow and it was so light that it didn`t even set the airbags off, so nothing structural, because I bought the car for my wife, so I wouldn`t have got her a car that would in any way be compromised. on drive perfect with great fuel returns.ok iv priced this car to sell has a few miner body issues how ever still fully usable and has been up until tax has dropped.i can tax if price is right.Start with pic 6 has a crease in paint and has small surface rust were has been scraped worst to start.7 is small surface rust on door seal not much to sort as isnt finished paint as on seal.pic 8 surface scuff around arch have been quoted on all work will explain in min but the garage says most off this will machine out as hasnt taken paint from car.9/11 are again small body scuffs.Ok im trying to show this car as it is i would recommend a look if looking to be handy ya self with the body or just looking for a A to B all round cheap car its a steal.Just had the car all clean inside seat etc clean.Now i have all the vw book pack but no history section its 1 owner and in 2010 at 76k it went in for a full service at vw due to a reminder sticker via door seal i am chasing history tomrow as drives to good so has been mechanical kept well.i have added a parkers pic to see what these cars book at and this shows at 100k miles i have v5 and mot.please feel free to call me on 07759289115 for any info.thanks. or repair. | Only two previous owners | Piles of FULL service history and receipts which has mostly been done at the local VW main dealer. | Car comes with 6 months MOT and is taxed till the end of August. | It has recently had a full set of Federal tyres which all have 6-7mm on | It had brand new discs and pads all round less than 500 miles ago. | It has had a recent bottom arm and ABS sensor in the last 1000 miles | When i purchased the car it had 85,000 miles on, I put a new turbo on at this point, air mass meter and coolant temp sensor. | Around a 10,000 miles ago I had AP performance springs and dampers fitted as the originals had gone a bit soft. At the same time I fitted an Allard EGR delete kit which improves fuel economy and stops dirty diesel smoke entering the inlet manifold. | The car is fully loaded and includes: | Electric windows | Automatic Climate control with air con and a electric sunroof (very rare to have both) Air con was Ice cold and have never had any problems. | Central locking with remote key fob (Two keys, both with remote fobs) | Cruise control | CD player | Trip computer | Centre arm rest | Electric and heated mirrors | Rear head rest and 3 full rear belts | 6 SPEED Gearbox with no crunches or wines. | Engine Code: AJM 115BHP | The car easly does 500-550 miles per tank of fuel which works out to around 50MPG. I have seen it as high as 60MPG on a long run. | The body work on the car is excellent with only very minor scuffs and scratches. The only two noticeable marks on the car is a slight bit of rust on the passengers side front arch and the boot lid has the common bubbling around the handle and a 8in scratch on the boot lid its self. These are both very minor bits that could easily be tidied up. It also has a small area of scratches on the drives door which looks like somebody has been rubbing up it with something. This looks like it would polish out with a machine polisher. As you can see from the pictures it really is in fantastic condition. The interior I would give an 8.5 out of 10 with only a few scratches to the drivers door plastic where the controls are. Again a common occurrence due to the material it is made out of. If you were really picky you can buy these from VW for around £20. Other than that I would like to see a cleaner interior on a MK4 golf. Before I bought the car I don`t think the rear seats had ever been sat on and the boot had never been used. Both are still in as new condition. | The wheels do not have any kerb marks on but a couple do have some slight corrosion (another common problem on VAG wheels. Again nothing which detracts from a fantastic car.) | Unfortunately last week on my way home from seeing some friends in Norfolk the car broke down with a suspected injector fault. The car was recovered and on inspection has damaged one of the big ends. I am selling the vehicle as spares or repairs which really breaks my heart has it was such a fantastic car until this happened. I would prefer to have it fixed but as I need a car I have already purchased a replacement as I could not wait. | The car is being sold on a spares or repair basis. Another MK4 golf with the same spec as this with as low miles fetches around the £3000.00 mark. A replacement engine is all that is needed which I have had quotes for around £500.00 | I have done my best to describe this vehicle as accurately and as honestly as I can, if you bid, you bid to buy regardless of what you find when you get here.
