selling it is I am getting a mk6 golf so this one has to go. | Like I said the car is a 2003 golf GTTDI 130 6 speed in blue, it has 18” alloy wheels and is lowered a bit (not too much) on FK coilovers. It has done 107600 miles (may change still using a bit). I was also told by the guy that I brought it from that it has been remapped to 170 bhp but I have no proof of this. | This car has 11 months MOT and nearly a year’s TAX (runs out 31.03.13) | I also have 2 keys for this car. | The interior of the car is good. It has the black and grey seats and all the spec a GTTDI should have such as, Climate control, arm rest, electric windows, remote central locking and heated mirrors. | This car has full service history . It has covered 104,000 miles, service history book/folder, just had it serviced and MOT`d so 12 months and is taxed until 30.11.2012 so you have 6 months road tax. All you need to do is insure it and fuel it!!!!! passed its MOT first time so will not need another until next November and is taxed until the end of June. The MOT tester said the emissions were as good as you`d expect from a new car with no visible smoke as it was tested. Drives as you`d expect from a VW and returned just short of 60mpg average on a 1000 mile Leeds - Cornwall - London - Leeds trip.If you are familiar with this particular model then you will know that they have a tendency to blow head gaskets and it`s a very expensive job to fix them. The head gasket was replaced last June and the cam belt, tensioner, idler and water pump were changed just last month so these expensive jobs are out of the way and the cam belt will be good for another 60,000 miles. The head gasket was replaced with an uprated MLS item and all new stretch bolts were used when refitting. During this job, the opportunity was taken to clean the EGR valve housing and inlet manifold. Also, the coolant system was flushed and refilled with genuine VW G12 and is still clear and pink as you`d expect. I have not needed to top it up at all nor have I needed to top the oil up.Beware of any TDI of this model around this mileage - some are on sale now as the owners know their cars are showing early signs of head gasket failure so are selling the car before it becomes noticeable during a test drive. Don`t get caught out and stuck with a huge bill! The Good Bits: 120550 genuine miles, backed up by old MOTs Cam belt and water pump replaced within last 500 miles Head gasket replaced within last 2000 miles New front pads and discs within last 2000 miles Both front bottom wishbones with bushes replaced within last 3000 miles New windscreen fitted in May 2011 Set of genuine GT TDI alloys 7 Months` MOT Oil Service at 119465 miles, correct `PD` Oil & filter used Air Con Service carried out - air con is icy cold! This why I have described it as `Spares or Repairs` The fabric on the armrest is worn out on the front edge. See photos The rear brake pads and discs are showing signs of wear. Depending on the agreed price, I may get these replaced for you. As stated, the body/paintwork could definitely be better and if you`re expecting a mint condition car then you`ll be disappointed. An afternoon with a professional polisher and a PDR specialist might do wonders for the appearance but that would be up to you to decide, I haven`t bothered as to me the mechanical condition is more important but as you can see it scrubs up well. over the 200K mileage mark and in many respects are better than the modern 2.0 TDI engines. The car looks very nice and the upgraded alloys add that extra finish to the car. The Golf has a genuine 120,000 miles which is nothing for this engine and comes with 12 Months m.o.t for complete peace of mind. The car is 13 years old and does show signs of wear in places which I will list in the bad bits section but generally speaking this is a nice looking car for the money. These cars are very economical and will average a combined 54 m.p.g and are reasonable to ensure being only group 10. The car comes with all the relevant documentation including the original VW handbook with the manuals along with the service book. The car does come with service history along with receipts and a full vosa printout. Bad Points Small piece of the rear light is chipped (see picture) Few scratches on front corner of the bumper and rear (see pictures) Small dint in D/S wing (see pictures) Only 1 key Drivers seat shows signs of wear on the outer bolster Dashboard pixels have gone in places. I bought it, it had just cracked the headlamps (which have been replaced by brand new ones) and bent the front of the bonnet and cracked the bumper, I managed to get a bonnet, bumper and grill in the same colour which have been fitted correctly, as have two new rear springs, (totally unrelated to the accident, but needed changing anyway) It has since been checked by VOSA and they have issued us with a Vehicle check pass certificate to say that it is roadworthy and it is still the same vehicle that came out of the factory. I heard from the previous owner, that the accident was in the snow and it was so light that it didn`t even set the airbags off, so nothing structural, because I bought the car for my wife, so I wouldn`t have got her a car that would in any way be compromised. or repair. | Only two previous owners | Piles of FULL service history and receipts which has mostly been done at the local VW main dealer. | Car comes with 6 months MOT and is taxed till the end of August. | It has recently had a full set of Federal tyres which all have 6-7mm on | It had brand new discs and pads all round less than 500 miles ago. | It has had a recent bottom arm and ABS sensor in the last 1000 miles | When i purchased the car it had 85,000 miles on, I put a new turbo on at this point, air mass meter and coolant temp sensor. | Around a 10,000 miles ago I had AP performance springs and dampers fitted as the originals had gone a bit soft. At the same time I fitted an Allard EGR delete kit which improves fuel economy and stops dirty diesel smoke entering the inlet manifold. | The car is fully loaded and includes: | Electric windows | Automatic Climate control with air con and a electric sunroof (very rare to have both) Air con was Ice cold and have never had any problems. | Central locking with remote key fob (Two keys, both with remote fobs) | Cruise control | CD player | Trip computer | Centre arm rest | Electric and heated mirrors | Rear head rest and 3 full rear belts | 6 SPEED Gearbox with no crunches or wines. | Engine Code: AJM 115BHP | The car easly does 500-550 miles per tank of fuel which works out to around 50MPG. I have seen it as high as 60MPG on a long run. | The body work on the car is excellent with only very minor scuffs and scratches. The only two noticeable marks on the car is a slight bit of rust on the passengers side front arch and the boot lid has the common bubbling around the handle and a 8in scratch on the boot lid its self. These are both very minor bits that could easily be tidied up. It also has a small area of scratches on the drives door which looks like somebody has been rubbing up it with something. This looks like it would polish out with a machine polisher. As you can see from the pictures it really is in fantastic condition. The interior I would give an 8.5 out of 10 with only a few scratches to the drivers door plastic where the controls are. Again a common occurrence due to the material it is made out of. If you were really picky you can buy these from VW for around £20. Other than that I would like to see a cleaner interior on a MK4 golf. Before I bought the car I don`t think the rear seats had ever been sat on and the boot had never been used. Both are still in as new condition. | The wheels do not have any kerb marks on but a couple do have some slight corrosion (another common problem on VAG wheels. Again nothing which detracts from a fantastic car.) | Unfortunately last week on my way home from seeing some friends in Norfolk the car broke down with a suspected injector fault. The car was recovered and on inspection has damaged one of the big ends. I am selling the vehicle as spares or repairs which really breaks my heart has it was such a fantastic car until this happened. I would prefer to have it fixed but as I need a car I have already purchased a replacement as I could not wait. | The car is being sold on a spares or repair basis. Another MK4 golf with the same spec as this with as low miles fetches around the £3000.00 mark. A replacement engine is all that is needed which I have had quotes for around £500.00 | I have done my best to describe this vehicle as accurately and as honestly as I can, if you bid, you bid to buy regardless of what you find when you get here.
