There's a hole in the front muffler and just wanted to know if I can just replace that with a pipe leading to the rear muffler. There's the cat which leads to a front muffler which is centered and in front of the gas tank. Then a pipe leads back to the rear muffler. I just had a look on www.awesome-gti.co.uk (http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk) (maybe the wrong site?) and the antennas I saw all had notes saying that radio reception would be impaired as they were for cosmetic effect only. I don't listen to the radio in the car but on the few occasions I have done while parked and waiting, reception hasn't been a problem. Reception wasn't a problem in Europe either. Even if you get the two door golf, you'll still have plenty of room for friends and driving around town, just like in the Jetta. When you go to college you'll be able to fit everything in one load (plus a passenger). I'm a hatchback fan because you can fit so much in them, even odd shaped items. With a Jetta (or trunk) it's more difficult because the object might be too high for the trunk lid to close but too wide to fit in the backseat (aka TV in a box) and the trunk to backseat pass-through is just a pain (which I don't know if that Jetta even has a pass-through or how large it is). Hatchbacks are also a hella lot of cuter and a blast to drive (I encourage you to learn how to drive a stick). Plus I'm pretty sure the golf gets better gas mileage than the jetta - definitely a factor for the poor teenager/college student budget!
