minus the alloy wheels | NOW WITH NEW MOT VALID UNTIL 23/01/2013, INITIALLY FAILED ON FOG LIGHT BULB BLOWN AND ON ALL DOORS WITH SECURITY LOCKS AS I FORGOT TO LEAVE THE SECURITY KEY, SO THE ENGINEER FAILED IT UNTIL I BROUGHT THE KEY IN !! Other than that the van flew through mot, emissions were spot on and no smoke, the engineer commented on how good the overall condition of the van was and that the underneath had been very well undersealed. He stated the handbrake would need attention before next mot and this has been put as an advisory on the new style mot sheet. | Time to sell our beloved T4, we have only had it a year but have had some great trips away in it. I searched a long time to find the van I wanted and eventually found this one after looking at some right wrecks. As you can see its an ex AA van, because its a Kombi van, its registered on the V5 as a diesel estate, it has the awesome 2.5ltr 102bhpTdi engine, which im told the AA re mapped to 110bhp, the engine is awesome, no nasty smoke, rattles, oil or water leaks, the van pulls like a train, and will very easily fly down the motorway. I usually stick to 65-70mph with the fitted cruise control, as I find this makes a huge difference to fuel consumption. | The van has done 177k; this will go up as I use the van daily. Don’t let the mileage put you off; these vans will easily do double that if looked after. This van had the belt and pump done 10k ago, so wont need doing again till the van reaches 225k and I have done the oil and filter twice with high quality oil. | Come`s with 12 months mot | When I had the exhaust fitted, my garage commented on how clean and solid the van was underneath. The gearbox is smooth and precise with all gears engaging correctly, the gear level has an extension on it, which makes it more comfy to handle. | The van comes with lots of history from the AA and the previous owner. I had a full vehicle inspection done when I bought it at a cost of over £250 and I will happily provide the buyer with a copy of this. | I replaced the whole exhaust system with a stainless steel decat side exit pipe. Sounds awesome, has vastly improved throttle response and gives peace of mind of knowing it wont rust away. The exhaust is fully mot compliant. | I also had a full set of T-Series deadlocks fitted to the van, to stop any attempted thefts. The receipt (£500) for this will be included as they are still under warranty. I also have 2 sets of keys for the vehicle. | The inside of the van is in good condition, the front seats are rip and stain free, the drivers seat is the captain style with arm rests, I’ve done a 600 mile trip in one day and found the seat very comfy. The rear has the double bench seat, which has a small oil stain on. The dash is nice and clean, the glove box has been replaced and I have removed most of the AA wiring, the van has run lock fitted, which means on cold mornings you can start the engine to warm the vehicle up, take the keys out and go back indoors for a cuppa, if anyone tries to move the van the alarm would go off. | I took all the interior panels and roof lining out and put thermal foil in, then put the panels back, please note the van no longer has the original AA sink in it. This keeps the van nice and cool in summer and toasty in winter. | The outside of the van is in good condition, it has the usual supermarket dinks etc., a very small rust bubble on the fuel flap and some very small spots on the window surround, these are very small but thought it best to mention, so you dont come expecting a showroom condition van. The front grill panel has a dent in on the passenger side and could do with replacing. I removed the AA Ariel’s from the roof, sealed the holes with chemical metal and filled, so no worries with water leaks, unlike the ones where people put rubber bungs in. I fitted a bee sting Ariel in the Centre rear hole, which looks pretty cool. | The van has been dropped by 50mm all round on good quality springs, which gives it a mean look, the van has the original steel wheels which the last owner painted, to be honest these could do a re paint. As you can see the van now has Audi 16” alloys with new load rated tyres on, the tyres have done roughly 400 miles. The wheels and tyres set me back £500. | The van has a rear tow bar as fitted by the AA with all electrics attached. | The paintwork is generally in good condition for its age, the colour was very faded when I bought the van; I spent 2 days polishing the van by hand and managed to bring it back to a good shine. The green strip on the lower part has come off in a few small places so the yellow is showing through. There are the odd stone chips etc., but after 177k it’s not going to be in mint condition. I recently fitted the tailgate, which I had sprayed before fitting, it also has the deadlocks fitted, just needs a ply panel on the inside. I fitted the interior handle from the barn doors onto the tailgate so you can open the door from inside the vehicle. | The van is fully compliant with the new LEZ regulations, which come into effect in 2012 | So in all a very good solid van, with many miles of fun left in it, a good solid engine and gearbox, which if looked after could easily go past 300k and more. | I am open to sensible offers and would prefer cash on collection.
