These VW engines are absolutely bombproof and more than capable of very easily covering higher miles without any difficulties at all, It’s been company owned from new, and as so has been extensively maintained regardless of cost, and we were reliably informed by the previous owner that it only covered motorway mileage – meaning VERY LITTLE wear on gear changes, clutch usage, brakes etc, and being a person who has driven 100’s of VW vans through our business, I can honestly say hand on heart, this van drives like its 6 months old!!! (come and test it for yourself!) The gearbox is smooth with no slack in the changes, the clutch bite is lovely, and it brakes on a sixpence! Steering is soft and smooth, the engine starts first time and is as clean as a whistle and it more than happily keeps up with motorway speeds!
