Report this review I bought a Golf Varient in 2008. The Gearbox needed to be changed after just 20,000Km and thank God it was still covered. My brother bought a Scirocco and his Gearbox was fried at about 20,000Km as well!!!!! My Garage told me that this is a common problem and that the g/box are quite a nightmare to find. At first i did not believe them but now my car has been at the garage for over 3 months and i do not know what to do with it, Rang VW dealer and they said it will cost me about £1300. Report this review Excellent little round around and i haven`t had any major problems. All MOT`s passed except for tyres- which was my own responsibility. Good on petrol. It`s taken me further a field to London and Leeds a number times and never caused problems. Fast and nippy for what it is. I bought the car new for $26,000 and after 80,000kms the gearbox went, leaking oil, cracked bell housing and so on. I complained to VW and they would not even send me a letter just ignored it. I have never been happy with the way, the gearbox works on this car. The first 2 years everything was fine, but hereafter shifting gears between 1. and 2. started to become a struggle. It had 58k on the clock and so I immediantly changed the cam belt. However, I have a screeching noise occasionaly upon starting the engin, which my local garage seems to think could be the starter motor, and also is alot lot slower than I thouight it woudl be. All websites I have been on say the toop speed is 117mph, but mine tops out at 105mph and that is at around 5200rpm! ... Report this review We got a T-reg model of the Volkswagon Golf 1.6 SE recently and it had clocked 80k on the meter. Apart from the shift between 1st and 2nd gears being a little stiff it run very smoothly for other cars of that age still on the road. It handles like a dream, is very comfortable at pace and has plenty of space for a small family. I'd love to say the size of it makes it a great city car but seeing as i used up all my driving skills before i go to 'parking' i try to stick to the car parks but my sist ... This was my first and will be last VW. Had loads of Fords from new and was unlucky to have any real issues in first 70K to 90K miles. Registrati subito Cerca Volkswagen: l'anno prossimo arriva la Touareg Hybrid pubblicato: martedì 03 febbraio 2009 da Fabio Sciarra E’ arrivata ieri da Wolfsburg la notizia che Volkswagen proporrà l’anno prossimo una Touareg ibrida. Il costruttore tedesco amplierà in questo modo la sua gamma ecologica BlueMotion e debutterà al contempo nel mercato delle auto a doppia propulsione. Sarà proprio la grande sport utility infatti a ricevere per prima il gruppo ibrido. Questo sarà costituito da un V6 TSI abbinato a un motore elettrico da 52 CV per la potenza complessiva di 333 CV. Il tutto assistito da un nuovo cambio automatico a otto marce che promette percorrenze pari a 9 l/100 km. Il sistema permetterà di procedere con la sola propulsione elettrica ad andature inferiori ai 50 km/h, mentre quando viene richiesta tutta la potenza (funzione boost) i due motori funzionano insieme erogando 374 CV e 550 Nm. La gamma della Passat inoltre accoglierà altri debutti “ecologici” nel corso del 2010. Il primo sarà quello della TSI EcoFuel a doppia alimentazione benzina-metano, in grado di erogare 150 CV e di percorrere 100 km con solo 4,5 l di carburante, il secondo quello della BlueTDI, 140 CV e 5,2 l/100 km e il terzo quello della BlueMotion, dotata di start&stop, recupero di energia in frenata e di un catalizzatore particolarmente efficiente. Sentivo che mancava qualcosa. Un SUV … ecco cosa. Però è ibrido, vogliamo mettere ? Pesa talmente tanto ed ha un’aerodinamica così ridicola che tutto il lavoro svolto dai tecnici per renderlo meno inquinante viene praticamente vanificato in partenza, … però vogliamo considerare il salto d’immagine di cui beneficierà la VW ? Rimaniamo in attesa di altre delizie tecnologiche come questa anche da parte di BMW, BMW, Mercedes, … Corro subito a prenotarlo. La propulsione ibrida per questi mezzi non è una cattiva idea, ma i risultati da ottenere con un sistema diesel elettrico no è?come per la concept della golf ad alimentazione elettrico-diesel. ciccyo83 03 feb 2009 - 09:24 - #8 0 punti 52 / 280 = 0,1857 52 / 332 = 0,1566 ricordo ai qui presenti postatori che in “cruising” la potenza utilizzata dal motore per spostare il veicolo è intorno al 10-15 % di quella nominale del motore.
